El Diablo restaurant in the Mountains of Fire, managed by the Tourist Centers, has been selected by National Geographic as "one of the six most impressive places in the world to eat".
The magazine points out that its food "is cooked with superheated steam escaping from an active volcano in Timanfaya National Park" which is surrounded by "a desolate volcanic landscape that could easily resemble the planet Mars".
It also points out that "the park revolves around the Mountains of Fire in a desolate volcanic landscape that could easily pass for Mars." "The area was considered a barren wasteland until park authorities created a visitor center, hiking trails, a motorized tour route, and the mountaintop restaurant," they add.

They also highlight the grill, "built with basalt stone thrown by those eruptions, El Diablo's outdoor grill roasts meats and seafood at temperatures between 450˚ and 500˚ Celsius."
