The Líneas Romero Foundation, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, has announced the call for the III Edition of the Sustainable Talent Awards, designed to recognize and support individuals, companies and organizations that are committed to regenerative innovation, sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the archipelago.
The presentation ceremony, held this Monday, was attended by Federico Romero, president of the Líneas Romero Foundation; José Valle, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa; and Francisco Candil, Deputy Minister of Social Welfare of the Government of the Canary Islands.
In this third edition, the winning project will receive, as in previous editions, a cash prize of 5,500 euros and a diploma. In addition, as a novelty, we have the collaboration of Bankinter, which will support the best valued projects, offering financial services on preferential terms to facilitate their start-up or development.
Entrepreneurs and companies interested can submit their projects in digital format through the website of the Sustainable Talent Awards until January 16.
The Sustainable Talent Awards, committed to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the principles of CSR, seek projects that promote talent, innovation and entrepreneurship with a sustainable and socially responsible approach.
Likewise, priority will be given to projects that develop viable products, services or applications, with positive environmental impact and measurable social and economic benefits. Also those that promote the ecological transition, the circular economy and strategic alliances.
The proposals must clearly integrate the three dimensions of sustainability: economic, social and environmental.
José Valle, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, reiterated the importance of this platform, pointing out that these awards reflect our shared responsibility in promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable development, and that it is not only about generating new ideas, but about doing so with a real commitment to the great challenges we face as a society and as a business fabric.
For his part, Federico Romero, president of the Líneas Romero Foundation, emphasized that "this award is not only a recognition, it is also an invitation to dream and build together." And he added that "beyond the financial contribution, the important thing is the impulse and confidence that this award implies."
The Deputy Minister of Social Welfare and Immigration of the Government of the Canary Islands, Francisco Candil, recognized the importance of Canarian companies betting on social and environmental values and joining the Canarian Network of Corporate Social Responsibility promoted by the Government.
In this sense, he thanked the Líneas Romero Foundation for its initiative "to reward the commitment of companies to sustainable development and their involvement in social projects" "Awards that reinforce the work carried out by this Government to create a network of companies that, in addition to being the economic engine of the Canary Islands, become an engine of inclusion, sustainability and social cohesion."
The confidentiality of the applications will be guaranteed throughout the process. A jury, composed of members of both organizing entities, will be responsible for evaluating the projects according to pre-established criteria, and representations of public or private organizations with recognized experience in the field may be invited.
