Plaza del Varadero, in Puerto del Carmen, will be the venue for the 1st Job Dating Employment Fair of Lanzarote, which will take place on May 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The objective of the Tías City Council is to "build bridges between people who are looking for employment or want to improve their situation with those companies that are interested in incorporating talent into their teams."
This was stated by the mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, during the presentation of the fair that took place this Tuesday in the plenary hall of the City Council together with the Councilor for Employment, Carmen Gloria Rodríguez, the president of the Lanzarote Tourism Federation (FTL), Susana Pérez, and the vice president of the Gehocan association, David Ayala.
Carmen Gloria Rodríguez has stated that "talent is with us and we want to lend a hand to all professional profiles, not only with this direct contact with companies, but also with the training centers that we have on the island." This first fair will feature more than forty companies and entities related to employment and training.
Susana Pérez has emphasized the involvement of the Lanzarote Tourism Federation in events of this type and its benefits for the sector, "as this fair offers the possibility of maintaining direct contact between companies and potential candidates, attracting a wide variety of profiles."
David Ayala has highlighted the work of Gehocan as an association that promotes the "visibility of participating companies and direct contact with interested people" through personal interactions. The companies participating in the fair can show their corporate culture and professional growth opportunities for candidates.
