Hiperdino already has more than 9,000 workers

The Canarian business group is the largest employer in the archipelago and 85% of its staff have permanent contracts

The Canarian supermarket chain HiperDino has exceeded the figure of 9,000 workers, distributed in stores, warehouses and offices.

HiperDino, whose staff has a permanent contract in 85%, is the company that generates the most employment in the archipelago.

The CEO of DinoSol Supermercados, Javier Puga, highlights that "the importance of each and every one of the people who are part of the staff, together with their daily commitment and the quality of the team, allow us to achieve the objectives that we set year after year".

Javier Puga adds that "it is the workers of our establishments who work on the front line and one of the main reasons why our customers choose us, and the good service they provide is essential to retain them".

For her part, the Director of Human Resources, Salomé Sedano, explains that "as part of our corporate culture, from the Department I lead we work for the well-being of all teams and, in parallel, to achieve excellence in the service we provide to our customers".

 

Each job in Hiperdino generates 2.7 jobs in other businesses

According to the study prepared by the consulting firm Corporación 5 on the impact of HiperDino on Canarian society related to 2022, the total economic impact of the chain on job creation amounted to 29,916 full-time equivalent jobs, which represented 3.02% of the employed population.

Thus, the generation of employment was due in more than 75% to the activity of HiperDino and its suppliers.

The drag effect meant that, for each job generated by HiperDino, 2.79 full-time equivalent jobs were generated in the Canary Islands.

In the continuous search for improvements for its workers, the chain recently launched, through its internal mobile application, an Internal Benefits Program with discounts on different products and services included in different categories, such as technology, leisure, home and travel, among others, to make life easier and reduce day-to-day expenses.
