Used vehicle sales fall by 4.4% in the Canary Islands in November

The sale of used cars and vans fell by 4.39% during the month of November in the Canary Islands, where 9,647 units were sold compared to the same period last year, which means that the decrease was greater than in Spain as a whole, where this market contracted by only 0.6%.

According to details provided this Monday in a statement by the National Association of Vehicle Dealers (Ancove), the market for both cars - 7,823 were sold, 3.8% less than in 2022 - and used vans - 1,824 were sold, 6.84% less - has suffered in the Canary Islands.

Despite the poor figure for the month of November, in the year to date, the sale of used vehicles continues to be higher than in 2022, since in the first eleven months 102,506 units have been transferred in the islands, an increase of 5.75%, which is higher than the national average of 3.2%.

Across the country as a whole, the falls are widespread except in the following autonomous communities: Castilla-La Mancha, which sold 29.6% more than in November 2022; Catalonia, 2.5% and Madrid, 32.7%.

The biggest falls in the last month have been in the Balearic Islands, 22.2%, and in the Valencian Community, 14.7%, according to Ancove.
