The price of gasoline in Lanzarote hardly changed in April. Gasoline 95 now costs 1.404 euros per liter, while last month it cost 1.401 euros on average. Something very similar happens with gasoline 98, which marked an average of 1.498 euros per liter in April when it had cost 1.499 euros in March.
For its part, the price of diesel experienced a slight decrease in April, as it marked 1.403 euros per liter, while the previous month it had stood at 1.413 euros.
Despite the stagnation of prices, gasoline 95 is 6.5% cheaper than it cost a year ago and gasoline 98 is 5.4% cheaper than twelve months ago. The price of diesel is also 5.6% cheaper.
The beginning of the war in Ukraine at the end of February last year boosted the price of fuels. In Lanzarote, gasoline 95 went from costing 1.27 euros per liter that same month of February to costing 20 cents more in March.
From there, its price continued to increase until it reached its maximum in June last year when the liter was sold at 1.648 euros.
The PCAN of Tías, the cheapest on the island
The cheapest gasoline 95 on the island is found in the PCAN of Tías, where the liter costs 1.286 euros per liter. The second most economical option is found at the Marina Rubicón gas station, where it is sold at 1.319 euros per liter.
On the other hand, to fill the tank with gasoline 98, the best price is found in the north of the island. There are two establishments, the Texaco of Haría and the PCAN of Arrieta, that offer the liter at 1.399 euros.
Also the best price to refuel diesel is offered by the PCAN of Tías. There it costs 1.230 euros per liter. The second best price to purchase diesel, 1.249 euros per liter, is found at the Combustibles Canarios establishment on the road that connects Arrecife with Yaiza.
