Criminal Magistrate José Antonio Vázquez Taín will give a talk this Friday on cybersecurity for companies and freelancers, organized by the company Progesdatos, at the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
The Chamber points out that the increase in computer attacks and the problems generated by these intrusions are forcing companies to adopt security measures and to know what measures can be put into practice to avoid becoming a victim of a cyberattack. Economic blackmail, how to act against it, and what are the rules and organizations that protect the self-employed and SMEs are some of the topics that will be addressed in this conference.
The popular magistrate Vázquez Taín is known as the "Robin Hood of Villagarcía" for his prosecution of drug trafficking. This judge was also in charge of the Asunta Basterra case, and is the author of several books that have brought him media popularity. He will be joined by the lawyer and data protection delegate, Luis Felipe Gómez.
The conference is face-to-face and will take place this Friday, May 6 at 10:00 am in the Business Incubator of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa. Participation requires prior registration for capacity control, but it is open and free of charge.
