95 gasoline fell almost ten cents at the end of August compared to the previous month and its average price in Lanzarote is 1.53 euros per liter, although it is still 32.7% more expensive than in the same period of 2021.
The end of summer consolidates the decreasing trend in fuel prices in Lanzarote observed in July, when the first timid decrease occurred after chaining a year of increases.
Gasoline 98, meanwhile, goes from 1.71 to 1.63 euros, while a liter of diesel now costs 1.55, compared to 1.60 euros last month, according to data from the General Directorate of Industry and Energy of the Government of the Canary Islands.
Although the drops consolidate the decreasing trend, prices are still far from the figures of September last year, when gasoline 95 cost an average of 1.06 euros on the island. Twelve months ago, gasoline 98 was paid at 1.16 euros per liter, while diesel cost 1.02.
The cheapest gas station for gasoline 95 and diesel is Marina Rubicón
Both for refueling gasoline 95, with a price of 1.391 euros per liter, and for doing so with diesel, at 1.444 euros per liter, the Marina Rubicón gas station in Playa Blanca is the cheapest in Lanzarote. The PCAN gas station in Arrieta is currently the cheapest to refuel gasoline 98. There, the liter costs 1.499 euros.
The second most economical establishment to buy gasoline 95 is the PCAN gas station in Tías, where the liter costs 1.417 euros. In third place is Combustibles Canarios, at kilometer 18 of the road that connects Arrecife with Yaiza, where the liter is sold at 1.429 euros.
To refuel gasoline 98, these last two establishments are also the second and third cheapest, although in reverse order. At Combustibles Canarios the liter costs 1.509 euros per liter, while at the PCAN in Tías it costs 1.515 euros.
As for diesel, the PCAN in Arrieta occupies second place with a price of 1.469 euros per liter, while the PCAN in Tías offers the third best price on the island. The liter is there at 1.491 euros per liter.
The most expensive establishment for gasoline 95 and 98 is Texaco, in Haría
Both to purchase gasoline 95, at 1.539 euros per liter, and to refuel gasoline 98, at 1.655 euros per liter, the most expensive establishment on the island is Texaco, in Haría.
The most expensive diesel in Lanzarote, at 1.619 euros per liter, is sold at the E.S.Yaiza gas station, located at kilometer 2 of the road between Yaiza and Montañas del Fuego.
The second and third most expensive gas stations on the island to obtain gasoline 95 are the Disa at the airport, where it costs 1.524 euros per liter, and the CEPSA gas station in Tahiche, which sells it at 1.519 euros.
To refuel gasoline 98, on the other hand, the second most expensive gas station is the BP on the Los Mármoles road, where it costs 1.629 euros per liter, and the third is the CEPSA gas station in Puerto del Carmen, where the liter reaches 1.628 euros.
The second most expensive diesel on the island is found at the A800-02 gas station in Macher, where the liter is sold at 1.598 euros. The third most expensive price in Lanzarote to refuel diesel is found at the Texaco in Haría, where it costs 1.549 euros per liter.
