From this Sunday, January 27, Fred. Olsen Express resumes the direct service between the capitals of Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, with four direct connections a day. This line began operating on October 15, 2018, and as announced by the company, on specific dates and due to operational reasons, it has had a stopover in the neighboring port of Morro Jable.
The route has a duration of 3 and a half hours of crossing, which means a total journey, including port operations, of less than 4 hours and will connect both ports at the following times:
? Daily departures from Arrecife at 06:00 and 16:30 hours. On Saturdays the first departure
will be at 06:30; while on Sundays a single departure is maintained at 14:00 hours.
? Daily departures from Las Palmas at 10:30 and 21:00 hours. On Saturdays, the first departure
of the morning will be at 11:00. And on Sundays, a single trip at 18:30 hours.
These schedules will allow customers and their vehicles to make round trips between the two islands on the same day.
In addition, the ship will have new service proposals, with a new on-board entertainment system, which will later be implemented in the rest of the ships, an interactive play area for children, as well as board games available to all passengers.
Finally, the works in the port facilities have been completed in both ports, so it is currently operating with three ramps on land, according to the operation that characterizes the company. On the other hand, in the port of Los Mármoles de Arrecife, work is being done on the passenger terminal, while in the Port of Las Palmas the new terminal has been operating since last October.
With this service, Fred. Olsen Express continues to bet on connectivity between the islands, offering its customers the best experience on board.
