Fuel prices continue to be unstoppable on the island of Lanzarote. Filling the tank of a medium-sized gasoline tank (55 liters) costs at least 74.52 euros, including the 20-cent discount, which represents an expense of 14 euros more than a year ago, according to data from the Geoportal of the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
Meanwhile, filling it with diesel costs 70 euros, 12 euros more than in June 2021, and if the data for 98 gasoline is taken into account, it shoots up exponentially, going from 59 euros last year to 80 this month, 21 euros more. These figures refer to the cheapest service stations in Lanzarote, so if they are transferred to the most expensive gas stations, prices rise between 5 and 10 euros more.
Therefore, the constant increases in fuel completely eat up the 20-cent discount established by the Government to lower prices. In addition, one of the great concerns of drivers is what will happen once this measure, extended until the end of summer, ends, since the cost of filling the tank would increase up to 10 euros more.
The cheapest gas stations on the island are in Tías and Haría
To cushion the impact of these gradual increases, the key is to go to the cheapest gas stations in Lanzarote. Specifically, the cheapest 95 gasoline is, once again, at the SPL in Tías, at 1.555 euros per liter of fuel. It is closely followed by the PCAN in Tías, with a price of 1.556 and the BP in Arrecife with 1.562 euros.
Regarding gasoline 98, the cheapest is at the PCAN in Arrieta, in the municipality of Haría (1.659 euros), followed by the one in Mácher (1.669) and Combustibles Canarios in Yaiza (1.669).
Finally, the cheapest diesel is also found at the SPL in Tías (1.473), at the PCAN in Tías (1.474) and at the one in Mácher (1.478 euros).
The most expensive service stations are Disa
The most expensive gasoline 95 and diesel are found at the service stations of the Disa company.
Specifically, the new Disa at the airport, the one on the ring road and the one in Costa Teguise have gasoline 95 at 1.634 euros per liter and diesel at 1.619 euros.
For its part, with regard to gasoline 98, the price shoots up to 1.745 euros per liter of fuel at the Repsol in Playa Blanca, followed by the Disa in Los Mármoles at 1.727 and the Cepsa in Varadero, in Puerto del Carmen with the liter at 1.725 euros.
