Subsidizing audiovisual production in the Canary Islands, in the form of feature films, shorts and documentaries, supporting Canarian work at festivals and exhibitions, and promoting the development of events related to the audiovisual world in the islands are the main lines of action of Canary Islands Film.
The brand, which is coordinated by the Canarian Institute for Cultural Development, includes all the island councils and their respective film commissions, as well as Proexca, the Canary Islands Special Zone and other relevant agents in the audiovisual sector in the Islands, ends the year 2022 with increasing activity.
In the Lanzarote area, the support for the Lanzarote Film Festival stands out, within the sponsorship of large-format events, and the Lanzarote International Festival, in the section of small-format events.

Likewise, in this line, a parallel amount of 3,900 euros has been allocated to two Canarian creations, with the aim of increasing the dissemination of local cinema, and 16 companies or professionals have benefited this year from the aid to attend 6 markets: Iberseries & Platino Industria, MIFA, MIPCOM, Marché du Film (Cannes), European Film Market of Berlin and Kidscreen (Miami).
On the other hand, the Canarian Government has also collaborated with the realization of festivals, exhibitions, markets, congresses and forums to promote the audiovisual industry, "placing greater emphasis on those that represent a significant and innovative contribution to the cultural offer of the islands", as reported in a statement.
