Binter has closed a financing agreement with a banking consortium made up of Caixabank, Santander and BBVA for the acquisition of five new Embraer E195-E2 reactors, with capacity for 132 passengers.

Through this operation, the airline will invest more than 356 million euros in buying five E195-E2 aircraft, which will be received in 2023 and 2024, Binter details in a statement.

Rodolfo Núñez, president of Binter, pointed out that "this type of aircraft allows us to improve the connectivity of the Canary Islands and provide the people of the Canary Islands with the transport service they deserve."

The E195-E2 is the largest and most modern aircraft in the family of E-Jet E2 medium-range twin-engine commercial reactors, and they have been ordered with the same special configuration of 132 seats, in a single class, which allows a distance between them of 79 centimeters.

Embraer is an international company based in Brazil that operates in the commercial and executive aviation, defense and security sectors. It is a world leader in the manufacture of commercial aircraft with up to 150 seats.
