SEAT has launched a project for citizens to propose and vote for the name of the new SUV with up to 7 seats, which will be positioned one segment above the Ateca.

ORVECAME, official SEAT dealer in Lanzarote, promotes this initiative to further enhance the name of Lanzarote.
Since the announcement in March of the launch of this new SUV, the brand has received more than 500 proposals from different parts of Spain to name the new model. Given the social impact achieved, SEAT has decided to take up the gauntlet and launch this initiative for the first time in the brand's history.
The initiative consists of four phases:
1. Name proposal. Until June 22, anyone can propose their favorite name for the new SEAT model. In addition to the criterion on Spanish toponymy, SEAT will take into account others such as, for example, that the name is in line with the values of the brand and the product and that it is easy to pronounce in different languages. In this phase, each of the proposals received will be taken into account, regardless of the number of participants who propose this proposal.
2. Preselection of proposals. Taking into account the criteria described, experts from SEAT and naming will participate in the preselection phase, as well as clients from different countries in the focus groups organized by the brand, and tests will be carried out in the markets to choose at least three names that will be put to a vote. The announcement of the finalists will take place on September 12 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
3. Voting for the finalists. From September 12 to 25, everyone will be able to vote for their favorite candidate among the finalists presented. The one with the most votes will be the winner.
4. Announcement of the winning name. SEAT will reveal the name of the new SEAT SUV before October 15.
Since SEAT launched the Ronda in 1982, Spanish toponymy has given its name to a total of 13 models of the brand: Ronda, Ibiza, Málaga, Marbella, Toledo, Inca, Alhambra, Córdoba, Arosa, León, Altea and, the two most recent, Ateca and Arona. The new SUV will be number 14 on this list.
