The La Tegala restaurant of Germán Blanco will offer on Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11 new gastronomic days in which the chef Fran Vicente, current contestant of the second edition of the Antena 3 program, Top Chef, will participate.

The menu, which has a price of 62 euros per person, with wine included, will consist of eight dishes, of which four will be prepared by Germán Blanco and the other four by Fran Vicente. The wines that will be served during these days have been selected by the renowned Sommelier Mario Reyes, from Vinofilos (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria).

Fran Vicente was born in Salamanca 28 years ago. His beginnings at the Fonda Veracruz hospitality school opened the doors of restaurants such as Hoyohambre, El Albero, Doña Brigida and Paradores de Turismo. In 2011, thanks to his mentor Mario Sandoval, he became head chef at the Coque restaurant in Madrid (1 Michelin star), where he remained until July, before embarking on new projects. In addition, in 2013 he was proclaimed champion of Spain in the Young Chefs competition.

Germán Blanco, at the head of La Tegala for more than a year, after twelve years leading the kitchens of the Amura Restaurant in Puerto Calero, is often defined as "a high-flying chef". In the preparation of his menus you can feel the effort and passion he invests to unite culinary traditions, mix local seasonal products with exotic ingredients and introduce innovative techniques.

All these factors have made him worthy of numerous awards such as second place in the eighth regional cooking competition in the Canary Islands. He has also participated in conferences with Quique D´Acosta (3 Michelin stars) and Ángel de León (1 Michelin star) during his career.
