The smallest winery on the island launches its first signature wine, Tinajo Natural (volcanic Malvasía) and T de Tinajo (Listán negro). The wines were presented at an event held at the Castillo de San José, which was attended by various island and municipal authorities.
After a process of Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I), this winery has recovered the old vines of Tinajo to produce a unique and different signature wine, which is characterized by special supervision in all phases: cultivation, harvest, production and bottling. A personal wine that bases its essence on the traditional system of the Romans, selecting the grapes bunch by bunch, manually, using ancient tools such as the Archimedes screw and using the technique on lees (yeasts), which provide the wine with certain organoleptic properties and an improvement in its physical-chemical stability.
Suggested by the Peñín Guide
The wines presented today were conceived as a result of a visit by the Peñín Guide to this small artisan winery, Tinajo Natural. Due to its characteristics, Mr. José Peñín suggests that the owners produce a personal, different and unique wine. The result is a white and a red that will be sold in luxury, very special bottles, thanks to another collaboration, that of Bodegas Presas Ocampo of Tenerife, which has shared synergies with Tinajo Natural. In addition to the unique bottle, the wine is presented inside a wooden box made by Canarian artisans. The sales channels chosen for its commercialization are exclusively the gourmet market, given the low production they have and their characteristics.
