JUAN TOLEDO S.L., Renault and Dacia Dealership in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, celebrates the launch of the PIVE 5 Plan (Efficient Vehicle Incentive Program) by the Ministry of Industry, particularly for stimulating the replacement of old vehicles with modern models, which are much safer and less polluting.
Cleaner and safer models within everyone's reach
The launch of the PIVE 5 plan is excellent news for the entire automotive sector in Spain, which had been requesting the Government to continue the vehicle purchase support plans, which have yielded such good results in 2013, allowing the renewal of the vehicle fleet and a return for the economy as a whole much higher than the amount of aid. These support plans have contributed to reversing the deep depression in the automotive market, which does not correspond to the real potential of our economy.
The PIVE plan also conditions the granting of aid to the fact of delivering a used vehicle that is more than 10 years old, in the case of passenger cars, and 7, in the case of commercial vehicles, which will greatly contribute to the replacement of old models, responsible for 80% of emissions and equipped with safety measures far below current ones, for models of technologically superior ranges, in ecological terms and in terms of protection of both occupants and pedestrians.
According to statements by Ricardo Gondo, general manager of Renault España Comercial, S.A., "We are very satisfied with the launch of the PIVE 5 plan, as we had been requesting the Government to continue the previous Plans, which have served, at the same time, to rejuvenate the Spanish automotive fleet and to significantly improve safety and respect for the environment."
In this sense, Juan Luis Toledo, manager of JUAN TOLEDO S.L., has stated that "The general conditions of the program favor the Renault and Dacia models, which are characterized, thanks to the efforts made continuously since 2007 in terms of respect for the environment, for being massively benefited by the aid. For example, the New Clio and the successful Captur are 100% affected; the Mégane range benefits by more than 95%; and in the case of Dacia, thanks to the PIVE plan, customers can purchase a Sandero for just over 6,000 euros.
