In the opening speech, Luis Miguel Morales highlighted the importance of training in tourism management, and expressed his satisfaction that three people from the Arrecife Gran Hotel & Spa had trained in the Master's program.
For her part, Susana Pérez stressed that Asolan had long detected a need for specialized training in the Tourism Sector for managers and middle managers. The competitiveness of tourism companies depends to a large extent on the management of their management teams, as well as on sound decision-making, and training is the way to achieve this. For this reason, the organization of the Tourism MBA in Lanzarote is a very positive event for the sector.
Next, José Cerezo, the director of the ICT, highlighted this third class of Lanzarote for its level of academic excellence, for its harmony and good disposition, and also praised all the students for having been able to successfully complete some very demanding studies. He also thanked Asolan and the CATCs for their support and thanked the team of the Arrecife Gran Hotel & Spa for their impeccable service and hospitality.
Finally, Mrs. Paula Corujo closed the event, highlighting that the graduation "culminated a rigorous program taught by renowned specialists that the Canary Islands Institute of Tourism has taught, contributing to improving the training and qualification of professionals in the tourism sector in aspects that are key to its development. This effective preparation allows students to take a leap in their professional careers and assume new responsibilities and whose work is worthy of the most sincere congratulations."
After the presentation of the degrees to the graduating students, the students with the best academic record were awarded, the "José Antonio Hernández-Reja" Distinction, which went to Mrs. Teresa de Jesús Reyes, and the professor best valued by the students, the NORAY Award, which was Mr. José Antonio Belizón.
