The Cabildo of Lanzarote supports the wine sector at the National Fair of Spanish Wines

Councilor Hugo Delgado has attended the Spanish National Wine Fair in the World (FENAVIN) to support the wine sector of the Island.

The event takes place between May 10 and 12 in Ciudad Real, with the participation of Lanzarote wineries Vino Bermejo, El Grifo and Producciones Arráez with Lágrimas de Malvasía.

"This event positions Lanzarote as one of the best destinations for wine lovers," said the councilor, who says that from the island institution they are "very proud to offer and represent the best quality in our products, not only wine, but also to make known that our island products are also up to par."

He also stresses that the Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, has visited the stands of Saborea Lanzarote, where he was able to taste the wines of the Island. "The need to publicize the quality of the Canary Islands products in an excellent showcase worldwide is highlighted by the effort of the wineries of Lanzarote and the involvement of the Cabildo," explains Delgado.

This event is an opportunity to promote the opening of new businesses, as it is a meeting point between producers and potential customers in the national and international wine sector.

The event is held every two years and hosted in its last edition 1,946 wineries and cooperatives from all Spanish regions and more than 18,000 buyers.
