Once again, CICAR/Grupo Cabrera Medina promotes the Canary Islands with its own stand at the Bilbao International Tourism Fair, which is held this weekend, between May 6 and 8. Under the heading of Expovacaciones-2016, the Contest takes place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. The CICAR delegation is headed by its commercial director, Ramón Valiente.
The CICAR stand provides information about the replica of the Seat Ibiza model painted by César Manrique in 1987. The Lanzarote company made almost a hundred replicas of the vehicle, which have been incorporated into its fleet of rental cars in the seven Canary Islands. This initiative occupies one of the wings of the CICAR/Grupo Cabrera Medina stand, presided over by a large-scale photograph of Manrique.
On the other hand, the company offers its wide and modern fleet of vehicles for those who want to get to know the Canary Archipelago aboard a rental car. Likewise, the stand refers to the Audio-guide of the Canary Islands, a novel initiative that has emerged in recent years that disseminates the cultural and natural values of the Islands among users who prefer their rental cars to travel around them.
When renting a CICAR vehicle anywhere in the Canary Islands, the user receives an audio CD, in mp3 format and free of charge, which describes the places of interest on the island where they are located. The client can choose between several languages, including Spanish, English, German and French.
The Bilbao International Tourism Fair shows the latest developments in the sector, the latest proposals in routes and destinations, and the most innovative leisure and free time alternatives. Visitors will be able to select, choose at the moment and get on the spot what they long for for their vacations.
The Cabrera Medina Group was created in 1967. With almost 50 years of life, the Group preserves its second-generation family structure, offers services throughout the Canary Islands and is present in all airports, ports, tourist areas and strategic points of the Canary Archipelago. It has around 8,000 rental vehicles, is a leader in its sector in the Islands, has more than 80 points of sale for both rent a car and vehicle sales, and directly employs 1,200 people.
