The Ministry of Finance of the Canary Islands Government stated this Sunday that the islands appear as one of the autonomous communities that is "most diligent" when establishing frameworks and actions for compliance with the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) and the execution of extraordinary European funds.

This is an audit report from the Court of Auditors on measures adopted in the autonomous region to implement the aforementioned Plan, according to a statement from the Ministry of Finance.

The report states that the Canary Islands "not only regulated the main regulatory specialities regarding the PRTR in a normative text with the rank of law, with an integrating approach similar to that used in state regulation (like ten other autonomous regions), but it has also been the only one that has expressly included the content of strategic planning instruments for management in its legislation".

For the Court of Auditors, strategic planning instruments "identify priorities and allocate available resources, thus constituting effective planning instruments, both for the implementing entities and for the governance bodies of the Community”, the text indicates in its conclusions section.

"The Canary Islands has also been the only Community that has chosen to carry out planning in a similar way to that foreseen in the state public sector", the note adds.

Likewise, the fact that only the Canary Islands and three other autonomous communities have carried out planning and management of the human resources needed for the development of the Plan is also valued.
