New cases rebound in the Canary Islands with 141 in the last 24 hours

No deaths have been reported in the Canary Islands on this last day.

The Canary Islands have registered 141 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total number of accumulated cases in the islands now rises to 56,716, although no deaths have to be mourned and the total number of deaths stands at 768, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

Thus, of the total number of accumulated cases in the islands, 1,619 are active (-33), of which 32 are admitted to the ICU (-3), 197 remain hospitalized (-3) and 1,390 are in their homes (-27). In addition, so far 54,329 people have overcome the disease in the archipelago after 174 Canarians were discharged.

Regarding the Accumulated Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands, it stands at 32.91 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is at 70.13 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. So far, 1,144,877 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 59,700 were positive, representing 5.22 percent.

By islands, Tenerife adds 83 new infections and accumulates 24,958 accumulated cases, of which 1,039 are epidemiologically active (-15), 425 died and 23,494 were discharged; while Gran Canaria has 22,686 accumulated cases (+34), of which 379 are active (+1), 269 died and 22,038 overcame the disease.

Lanzarote, meanwhile, accumulates 5,534 cases (+13), of which 139 are epidemiologically active (-23), 49 died and 5,346 were discharged; while Fuerteventura adds 11 infections and accumulates 2,366 cases, of which 56 are active (-9), 13 died and 2,297 overcame the disease.

La Palma maintains its accumulated number at 566 cases, with five active (-5), seven deaths and 554 people who have recovered from the virus; El Hierro accumulates 371, with no active cases, four deaths and 367 people were discharged.

Finally, La Gomera remains at 234 infections, of which one case is active, while in its balance it registers one death and 232 people who have overcome the disease.
