Infections fall again in the Canary Islands to 87 on the last day and a new death is recorded

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands has slightly increased to 33.82 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days is at 67.37 cases

The Canary Islands has registered 87 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total of accumulated cases in the islands now rises to 57,027, and also has to regret a death in Tenerife, so the total number of deaths amounts to 771, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

Thus, of the total accumulated cases in the islands, 1,710 are active (+48), of which 28 are admitted to the ICU (-2), 189 remain hospitalized (no variation) and 1,493 are in their homes (+50). In addition, so far 54,546 people have overcome the disease in the archipelago after 38 canaries were discharged.

Regarding the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands, it has slightly increased to 33.82 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is at 67.37 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

So far, 1,151,911 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands --2,469 in the last day-- of which 60,036 were positive, representing 5.21 percent.

By islands, Tenerife adds 53 new infections and accumulates 25,136 accumulated cases, of which 1,112 are epidemiologically active, 427 died (+1) and 23,597 were discharged; while Gran Canaria has 22,752 accumulated cases (+21), of which 401 are active, 270 died and 22,081 overcame the disease.

Lanzarote, meanwhile, accumulates 5,572 cases (+6), of which 108 are epidemiologically active, 49 died and 5,415 were discharged; while Fuerteventura adds 5 infections and accumulates 2,390 cases, of which 79 are active, 13 died and 2,298 overcame the disease.

La Palma adds two cases and places its accumulated in 570 cases, with eight active, seven deceased and 555 people who have recovered from the virus; El Hierro remains with an accumulated 371, having no active case, four deaths and 367 people were discharged.

Finally, La Gomera does not add cases either and continues 235 infections since the beginning of the pandemic, of which two are active, while in its balance it registers one death and 232 people who have overcome the disease.
