The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has confirmed a new case of coronavirus in Lanzarote, which brings the number of positive cases registered so far on the island to three. The first two were confirmed last Thursday, and they were two tourists staying at a hotel in Playa Blanca.
Regarding the new positive, the Ministry has not provided data and has not even confirmed whether it is a person residing on the island or a tourist. In this regard, they have indicated to La Voz that given the volume of cases already registered in the archipelago, from now on they will not provide specific details of the new positives, limiting themselves to providing the figures.
In total, the Canary Islands had 82 active cases this Saturday, most of them in Tenerife. To these cases are added another seven who suffered the disease on the islands and have already been discharged, as well as a woman who died this Friday.
