Five deaths and 5,549 new positives this Tuesday in the Canary Islands

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 1,499.85 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 2,903.88 cases per 100,000 inhabitants

The Canary Islands adds this Tuesday a total of 5,549 new cases of coronavirus. In addition, in the last hours has been reported the death of five people, three women and two men, between 80 and 90 years. Of the total number of deaths, three were counted in Gran Canaria and two in Tenerife. All people had previous pathologies.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 1,499.85 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 2,903.88 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 2,727 cases with a total of 43,746 cases active epidemiologically; Gran Canaria has 1,865 more than the previous day and 33,903 active. Lanzarote adds 515 new cases with 6,594 active epidemiologically; Fuerteventura has 290 new cases and 4,956 active. La Palma adds 106 new positives so it has 1,637 active. La Gomera adds 18 new cases, so its assets are 194 and El Hierro adds 28 new positives, so it has 226 active cases.

Until this Tuesday, a total of 2,982,197 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 14,522 correspond to Monday.

The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 229,445 with 91,257 active, of which 85 are admitted to the ICU and 539 remain hospitalized.
