The archipelago has accumulated 2,212 cases of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic

Four deaths from coronavirus have occurred this Friday in the Canary Islands, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands updated at 8:00 p.m. Thus, the number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic is 140.

Thus, a large part of the deaths are recorded in the age groups between 70 and 79 years, where 40 people died, and in the group over 80 years, where 68 deaths were recorded.

This day has registered six new positives to reach an accumulated of 2,212 cases since the beginning of the crisis.

Statistics show that Covid-19 continues to have a greater incidence among women, with 1,203 cases, while in men the positives are set at 1,009. Thus, the age group in which a greater number of positives is concentrated continues to be that between 40 and 49 years, which reaches 395 cases.
