The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands reports this Thursday 68 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 95,904 with 748 active, of which 23 are admitted to the ICU and 79 remain hospitalized. In the last hours, the death of a 74-year-old man in Tenerife has been reported, who suffered from previous pathologies and remained hospitalized.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 16.45 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 35.16 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 23 cases with a total of 45,854 accumulated cases and 410 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 36,591 accumulated cases, 30 more than the previous day and 241 active. Lanzarote adds eight new cases with 6,965 accumulated and 62 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 4,510 accumulated cases, five new cases, and 26 active. La Palma adds a new case and has 1,111 accumulated and three active cases; El Hierro does not register new positives, so its accumulated are 467 and its assets are four. For its part, La Gomera adds a new case, so its accumulated are 404 and it has one active case.
To date, a total of 2,186,702 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 4,586 correspond to the previous day.
