Canary Islands registers 556 new cases of Covid and two deaths

The Canary Islands adds this Monday 556 new cases of coronavirus. In the last hours it has been notified the death of two people in the Canary Islands: a 72-year-old man in Tenerife with previous pathologies and another person that is pending validation by the General Directorate of Public Health.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 146.23 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 267.47 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 307 cases with a total of 3,084 active; Gran Canaria has 161 more than the previous day and 2,980 active. Lanzarote adds 34 new positives with 239 active; Fuerteventura has 42 new cases, and 823 active. La Palma adds nine new positives, so it has 93 active. La Gomera registers three new positives, so its assets are 23. El Hierro does not add new positives, so its assets are six.

Until this Monday, a total of 2,492,074 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 9,496 correspond to Sunday.

The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 109,009 with 7,248 active, of which 48 are admitted to the ICU and 258 remain hospitalized.
