Canary Islands registers 103 new infections and no deaths in the last 24 hours

As of this Saturday, a total of 487,897 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 3,417 correspond to Friday

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has notified this Saturday of 103 new cases of COVID-19, so the total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is now 17,346, with 5,785 active, of which 41 are admitted to the ICU and 173 remain hospitalized. Likewise, in the last 24 hours no deaths have been recorded.

By islands, Gran Canaria adds 20 cases with a total of 8,669 accumulated cases and 2,170 epidemiologically active cases; Tenerife has 6,305 accumulated cases, 79 more than the previous day and 3,477 active; Lanzarote adds two new cases with 1,253 accumulated and 75 active, and Fuerteventura has 766 accumulated cases with three more cases than the previous day and 45 active.

La Palma has two fewer cases due to statistical error adjustment with respect to the previous day and has 194 accumulated and three active cases; while La Gomera adds one case and has 10 active and 92 accumulated cases; El Hierro presents 66 accumulated cases and maintains 4 active and without adding new cases in the last hours.

The Canary Islands remains at an Accumulated Incidence (AI) at 7 days of 32.55 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while the AI at 14 days stands at 74.63 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
