The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands accounts for two new cases of monkeypox since Friday.
Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, there have been 168 confirmed cases, of which 98 were detected in Gran Canaria, 63 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, two in Lanzarote and one in La Palma. All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation.
In addition, the Ministry of Health maintains two cases under study for possible diagnosis of monkeypox, one probable and the other suspicious, in Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
