Canary Islands adds 91 new cases of coronavirus and three deaths in Tenerife this Thursday. With these new deaths, the Archipelago exceeds the figure of 1,000 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, reaching a total of 1,001. The Ministry of Health reports that two of the deaths correspond to a man and a woman, both 58 years old. Both remained hospitalized and in the case of the woman she suffered from previous pathologies. The third death, according to Sanidad, is still pending validation.
The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 96,364 with 769 active, of which 17 are admitted to the ICU and 72 remain hospitalized.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 20.18 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 37.04 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 36 cases with a total of 329 cases epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 39 more than the previous day and 294 active. Lanzarote adds 11 new cases with 86 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has five new cases and 57 active. La Palma does not add new cases and has two active cases; El Hierro does not register new positives, so it has one active. For its part, La Gomera does not add cases and remains without active cases.
Until this Thursday, a total of 2,215,643 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 4,811 correspond to Wednesday.
