The Health Department has added 67 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 95,836 with 863 active, of which 23 are admitted to the ICU and 102 remain hospitalized.
In the last hours, the death of a 79-year-old man in La Palma has been reported, who suffered from previous pathologies and remained hospitalized.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 16.91 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 37.45 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 20 cases with a total and 444 cases epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 40 more than the previous day and 227 active. Lanzarote adds four new cases and 65 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has one new case, and 120 active. La Palma adds one new case and has two active cases; El Hierro does not register new positives, so its assets are four. For its part, La Gomera does not add cases and remains without active cases. The Ministry of Health reports that in the calculation by islands there is a case to be assigned, which will be uploaded to the corresponding island once it is validated.
In total, a total of 2,182,116 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 2,973 correspond to Tuesday.
