Canary Islands adds 64 new cases of Covid and one death in the last day

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Archipelago stands at 18.47 cases per 100,000 inhabitants

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands reports 62 new cases of coronavirus on Friday. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 95,564, with 902 active, of which 28 are admitted to the ICU and 94 remain hospitalized on the ward.

In the last hours the death of a 77-year-old man in Tenerife has been reported, who suffered from previous pathologies and remained hospitalized.  

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 18.47 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 45.82 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. 

By islands, Tenerife adds this Friday 39 cases with a total of 418 cases epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 17 more than the previous day and 224 active. Lanzarote adds four new cases and 89 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has one new case, and 158 active. La Palma does not add new cases and has six active cases; El Hierro registers a new positive, so its assets are seven. For its part, La Gomera does not add cases and remains without active cases. 

Canarias has already carried out a total of 2,166,725 diagnostic tests in the Islands, of which 4,344 correspond to Thursday.
