Canary Islands adds 58 new cases of Covid and two deaths in the last day

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 18.61 cases per 100,000 inhabitants

The Canary Islands has added on Thursday 58 new cases of COVID-19, as reported by the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 95,502 with 926 active, of which 26 are admitted to the ICU and 98 remain hospitalized. 

In the last 24 hours the death has been reported of two women in Tenerife of 78 and 29 years. Both suffered previous pathologies and remained admitted to the hospital.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands is situated in 18.61 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days in 46.23 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 20 cases and 422 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 23 more than the previous day and 239 active. Lanzarote adds nine new cases and has 93 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura four new cases, and 157 active. La Palma adds a new case and has seven active cases; El Hierro registers a new positive, so its assets are eight. For its part, La Gomera does not add cases, so it remains without active cases.

Health has performed a total of 2,162,381 diagnostic tests in the Islands, of which 5,021 correspond to Wednesday.
