Canary Islands adds 57 new cases of Covid

The Canary Islands has added 57 new cases of coronavirus on Monday, as reported by the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands. The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 96,117 with 722 active cases, of which 23 are admitted to the ICU and 69 remain hospitalized. In the last hours, no deaths have been registered in the Archipelago linked to the coronavirus.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 16.08 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 33.50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 22 cases with a total of 344 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 21 more than the previous day and 260 active cases. Lanzarote adds 12 new cases and has 69 epidemiologically active cases; Fuerteventura has three more cases than the previous day and 45 active cases. La Palma does not add new cases and has three active cases; El Hierro and La Gomera do not register new positives, and both islands currently have no active cases. Health adds that in the calculation by islands, there is one more case than in the general sum; it is one that was pending validation and has already been assigned to its corresponding island.

Until Monday, the Canary Islands has carried out a total of 2,201,251 diagnostic tests in the Islands, of which 2,090 correspond to Sunday.
