The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands confirms this Wednesday 57 new cases of coronavirus. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 95,444 with 996 active, of which 28 are admitted to the ICU and 101 remain hospitalized. In the last hours the death of two men has been reported: one of 56 years old in Tenerife and another of 53 in Gran Canaria. Both suffered from previous pathologies and remained hospitalized.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 20.50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 46.97 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 21 cases with 474 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 19 more than the previous day and 246 active. Lanzarote adds 10 new cases and has 103 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has seven new cases, and 153 active. La Palma does not add new cases and has 12 active cases; El Hierro does not register new positives, so its assets are eight. For its part, La Gomera does not add cases and remains without active cases.
To date, a total of 2,157,360 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 4,471 correspond to this Tuesday.
