Canary Islands adds 184 positives for covid and one death in the last 24 hours

4,705 are active, of which 77 are admitted to the ICU, 321 remain hospitalized and 4,307 are at home

The Canary Islands has added 184 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the archipelago now rises to 49,127, while deaths reach 693 after a death occurred in Gran Canaria, according to data provided by the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands after 2:00 p.m.

Thus, of the total accumulated cases in the Canary Islands, 4,705 are active (+138), of which 77 are admitted to the ICU (-1), 321 remain hospitalized (+5) and 4,307 are at home (+134). Likewise, 43,729 people have overcome the disease (+45).

Regarding the Accumulated Incidence (AI) in the Canary Islands, at 7 days the upward trend continues until it reaches 96.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants; and at 14 days it grows to 128.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. In addition, so far a total of 992,847 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, --2,178 in the last day-- of which 52,874 have been positive, which represents 5.33 percent.

By islands, Tenerife accumulates 20,789 cases (+92), of which 2,452 are epidemiologically active, 385 have died and 17,952 have overcome the disease; while Gran Canaria has 20,438 accumulated cases (+72), of which 1,922 are active, 238 have died (+1) and 18,278 have been discharged from hospital.

Likewise, Lanzarote accumulates 4,738 cases (+11), of which 104 are epidemiologically active, 48 have died and 4,586 have overcome the disease; and Fuerteventura accumulates 2,144 cases (+9), of which 206 are active, 11 have died and 1,927 have been discharged from hospital.

La Palma, for its part, continues with 490 accumulated cases, of which 17 remain active, six have died and 467 have overcome the disease; El Hierro remains with 301 cases, of which one is active, in addition, it has had to mourn four deaths during the pandemic, while 296 have been discharged.

And La Gomera, continues with an accumulated 226 cases, of which two are active, has one deceased and 223 have overcome the virus.
