Canary Islands adds 175 new cases of Covid and three deaths

The Canary Islands registered 175 new cases of coronavirus this Wednesday. The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 98,382 with 1,528 active, of which 22 are admitted to the ICU and 127 remain hospitalized. In the last hours, the death of three people in the Canary Islands has been reported, a 92-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man in Tenerife, and an 87-year-old woman in Gran Canaria.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 41.91 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 68.48 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 82 cases with a total of 729 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 59 more than the previous day and 562 active. Lanzarote adds 16 new cases with 76 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 17 new cases, and 121 active. La Palma does not register new positives, so it remains at 23 active, while El Hierro, without new cases, remains with one active. La Gomera reports a new positive, so its assets are 16.

Until this Wednesday, a total of 2,289,644 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the Islands, of which 5,301 correspond to Tuesday.
