The Canary Islands has registered 169 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the islands now rises to 51,725, while deaths reach 719 after one person died on the island of Tenerife, according to data that the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government updates daily after 2:00 p.m.
Thus, of the total accumulated cases in the Canary Islands, 3,885 are active (+22 compared to the previous day), of which 79 are admitted to the ICU (-3), 300 remain hospitalized (-2) and 3,506 are at home (+27). In addition, 47,121 people have overcome the disease after being discharged 146.
Regarding the Accumulated Incidence (AI), at 7 days it decreases in the Canary Islands to 57.54 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days it decreases to 125.88 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 101 new infections and accumulates 22,206 cases, of which 2,329 are epidemiologically active, 402 have died (+1) and 19,475 have been cured; while Gran Canaria has 21,317 accumulated cases (+49), of which 1,3629 are active, 245 have died and 19,743 have been discharged.
Lanzarote, meanwhile, adds 11 new cases to accumulate 4,880, of which 106 are epidemiologically active, 48 people have died and 4,726 have overcome the disease; while Fuerteventura has 2,247 accumulated cases (+2), of which 74 are active, 13 have died and 2,160 have been cured.
The island of La Palma maintains its accumulated at 502 cases, of which 11 are active, six have died and 485 have overcome the disease; El Hierro accumulates 344 cases by adding 5 new ones, of which there are 34 active, in addition to registering four deaths and 306 people who have been discharged.
Finally, La Gomera adds one case in the last day, up to 228 accumulated, of which it has two active, as well as counting one death during the pandemic and 225 people who have been discharged.
