Canary Islands adds 109 new cases and one death in the last 24 hours

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 26.75 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days is at 57.08

The Canary Islands has registered 109 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the archipelago rises to 94,911, while it adds one death, in Gran Canaria, and reaches 984 deaths, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

Thus, of the total cases, 1,668 are active (-172), of which 39 are admitted to the ICU (-1), 184 remain hospitalized (-8) and 1,445 are in their homes (-163). In addition, 92,259 people have overcome the disease so far in the pandemic in the archipelago after receiving hospital discharge 280 people in the last hours.

Regarding the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands, it stands at 26.75 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is at 57.08 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Also, a total of 2,123,262 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands, of which 124,602 were positive, which represents 5.87 percent.

By islands, Tenerife adds 42 positives, accumulating 45,409 cases, of which 923 are epidemiologically active (-99), 563 have died and 43,923 have overcome the disease; Gran Canaria has 36,258 accumulated (+33), of which 456 are active (-98), 333 have died and 35,469 received medical discharge.

For its part, Lanzarote adds 13 positives, with 6,843 accumulated, of which 100 are active (+7), while it has registered 50 deaths and 6,693 overcame the disease; Fuerteventura has 4,432 accumulated cases (+12), of which 165 are active (+10), 17 have died and 4,250 received medical discharge; and La Palma adds seven cases and accumulates 1,106, of which 17 are active (+7), 16 have died and 1,073 have received medical discharge.

Finally, El Hierro adds one and accumulates 459, of which six remain active, four have died and 449 overcame the disease; while La Gomera adds another case and accumulates 403, of which one is active, one has died and 401 have received medical discharge.
