The Associations of Mothers and Fathers of Students (AMPAs) of the municipality of Teguise, with the support of the Island Federation of AMPAs of Lanzarote, have launched a petition campaign to demand that the island's city councils make specific commitments in education. The petition, disseminated through the change.org platform, focuses on two demands that they consider "essential" for the proper functioning of the centers and the reconciliation of families.

Firstly, they demand that municipal institutions fulfill their obligation to maintain educational centers, incorporating maintenance officers in each center with more than 100 students. They denounce that, in many cases, these tasks are being assumed by the janitors, when "they should not replace that figure."

The second demand focuses on work-life balance. The AMPAs (Associations of Mothers and Fathers of Students) request that the city councils organize early and late reception services, allowing families to adapt school schedules to their needs.

The promoters encourage citizens to join with their signature to reinforce the petition and ensure that the councils act in a coordinated manner throughout the island. The campaign can be supported through the following link
