Most of the municipalities of the island participated in the tribute to Camurria, as did the Cabildo de Lanzarote, being represented in the figure of Pedro San Ginés.
The Lanzarote Federation of Canarian Wrestling presented José Martín Cerpa "Camurria" with the gold medal. It is the first time that the federative body has given this distinction to a fighter from the island of Lanzarote.
