Unión Sur Yaiza once again missed the opportunity to score points in the final minutes of the match, it seems like a never-ending story. On this occasion, it occurred last Sunday in Fuerteventura after being defeated 3-2 by Unión Puerto. It should be noted that the southerners managed to tie the game up to two times.
The match began with Unión Puerto trying to attack constantly, which is how the Majorera team sent a ball to the post with a crossed shot around ten minutes into the first half. However, apart from that occasion, Yaiza, through their good positioning on the field, managed to neutralize the attempts of rapid attacks from the locals.
After more than half an hour of the match, Adolfo Pérez's team began to function, but Maxi Barrera's players managed to slow down the game. After a few minutes of southern dominance, a Majorera attack that ended in a bicycle kick by local striker Adán, resulted in a great save by Floro.
The first half seemed controlled by the Conejero team until the 39th minute, when Yaiza's interests were complicated with a penalty against Facu, which Adán would not miss. In the protest for the maximum penalty, several visiting players were cautioned with a yellow card. Yaiza made changes at halftime in search of a tie, bringing in Ubay for Jony.

Everything seemed finished, but the final minutes were going to be cruel again for Adolfo Pérez's team. Knowing how little was left to play, Unión Puerto pressed. After a couple of clear pushes from the local forwards in the southern area that the referee did not want to see, a fair foul arrived in front of Yaiza. Suddenly everything smelled like a goal. The free kick slipped through the goalkeeper's post without Floro being able to get there in time to avoid the defeat with time already up. Yaiza continues to improve and, despite having a more than good second half, left Puerto del Rosario without points.
When Unión Sur Yaiza seemed to be rescuing a valuable and hard-fought point from Fuerteventura, in the last play of the match Yared put a direct free kick into the squad of the post defended by Floro. A goal of beautiful invoice to leave the victory at home, representing a bucket of cold water for the boys of Adolfo Pérez.
After the match, Adolfo Pérez commented that it had been "a game of back and forth, a game that has many readings. We started the game very well and in the first quarter we were a very good team and we controlled the opponent well, hurting them. From there they take the lead on the scoreboard, an equality is established and already in the second half we have had good chances, good pace of play and good pace of play. We have been able to tie an adverse result twice and when the game reaches extra time the points go away. The second goal hurts us but with the changes the team takes a little air, we take the ball away from the local team and we generate play inside and out, in numerical superiority we make them goal chances, with many goal options from set pieces, we could hurt them, we didn't get it right and it's a pity that Álex's goal makes it two-two with the game over and we go back to... it seems that the same situation that happened to us with Gran Tarajal, with Ibarra, with Estrella and now with Unión Puerto again is happening to us again, we have to get up and move on".
