UD Lanzarote played on Sunday morning at the Annex of the Gran Canaria Stadium against UD Las Palmas Atlético. A match in which the Rojillos, using their experience, were able to tie down their rival, not let them feel comfortable and even took the lead on the scoreboard with goals from Gonzalo Di Renzo and Kilian Alemán.

The first part of the match was marked by equality, although UD Las Palmas Atlético was the team with the most possession of the ball. However, ball dominance did not translate into chances for the locals, who barely managed to make dangerous approaches to Ruymán's rear. UD Lanzarote was well positioned on the field and not leaving fissures in its defensive line so that the rival could generate danger in the final meters.

With the score tied at zero, the break was reached and at the beginning of the second half, UD Las Palmas Atlético took the lead. A play by Joaquín González on the right wing was culminated with a good shot by Alex Pachón that sent the ball into the back of the net.

UD Lanzarote reacted immediately and only needed eight minutes to turn the score around. In the 56th minute, Gonzalo Di Renzo received a ball inside the area and with a crossed shot beat goalkeeper Moha Ramos' stretch. Immediately afterwards, Kilian Alemán volleyed a ball in the vicinity of the area, the ball touched a defender slightly and ended up sneaking into the goal.

The joy lasted barely four minutes for the UD Lanzarote players, the time it took UD Las Palmas Atlético to level the score again through Joaquín González. And in injury time, the Rojillos could have taken the three points that were at stake, with Di Renzo standing alone inside the area and failing to beat the local goalkeeper in the one-on-one.

With the score tied at two goals, the end of the match was reached, with UD Lanzarote adding a valuable draw to place themselves in eighth position in the standings. Next Wednesday, the Rojillo team will face CD Tenerife “B” to make up for the postponed match of the third round.
