The work continues in the offices of UD Lanzarote to shape the squad that will compete again in group XII of the Third Division. The rojillo club has closed the incorporation of the versatile midfielder Keita, a Brazilian player who last season was in the ranks of San Bartolomé CF of the First Regional of Lanzarote.
Higor de Assis Cruz “Keita”, born on November 8, 1995, is a footballer who performs perfectly in the middle of the field, standing out for his physical power that allows him to perform various functions within the field. Not only can he play in the wide area, but his defensive qualities allow him to play in the center of defense and even as an inside midfielder.
He has trained in the youth ranks of Río Blanco de América, in Brazil, a club in which he alternated his appearances with the under-20 team and the first team, in addition to playing on loan for Deportivo Brasil and Vocem. Last season he made the leap to Spain to be part of the sports project of San Bartolomé CF in the Primera Regional de Lanzarote.
Since his arrival in Lanzarote he has become a regular in the lineups of San Bartolomé CF, a club with which he won the title of champion of the Arrecife Town Hall Regional Cup and achieved first place in the Primera Regional to achieve promotion to the Regional Preferente de Las Palmas.
The midfielder Keita becomes the eighth signing of UD Lanzarote for the 2020/2021 season, joining the incorporations of left back Javi Morales, central defender Matheus, inside midfielder Kevin Castro, attacking midfielder Adrián Machín, midfielder Dani González, right inside Javier Zafra and striker Víctor Rodríguez.
