The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife hosted the presentation of the Canary Islands Cruise Trophy Circuit, which is organized by the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, Real Club Náutico de Tenerife, Real Club Náutico de La Palma, Real Club Náutico de Arrecife and Calero Marinas with the sponsorship of the Government of the Canary Islands.

The president of the RCNA, Julio Romero, opened the event, thanking the clubs, Calero Marinas, the Spanish and Canary Islands sailing federations, and the national and autonomous associations of nautical clubs for their participation.

The Canary Islands Cruise Trophy Circuit, in the 2023 edition, will open with the César Manrique Trophy, which will be held from August 16 to 19 organized by the RCNA. It will give way to the second event, which will be the Princesa de Asturias Trophy organized by the RCNGC from September 22 to 24. The Circuit will end with the Infantas de España Trophy (RCNT) from October 20 to 22.
Every five years, the Lustral Regatta from Santa Cruz de La Palma with departure from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, organized by the RCNLP, will be included.

The president of Calero Marinas, José Calero Rodríguez, highlighted the good relations with the RCNA, "with which we work side by side in search of recovering what the César Manrique Trophy was, which was held in three regatta fields with the most competitive boats such as TP52, GP42, RC44 and Swan. In a short time we will achieve the goal of being among the best regattas in Spain again."

For his part, the president of the Royal Canary Islands Sailing Federation, Rafael Bonilla, said: "We must applaud the resumption of the Canary Islands Circuit and the incorporation of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife and Calero Marinas, making sailing in the Canary Islands continue to grow."

The president of the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, Maica López Galán, said: "We are separated by the sea, which in turn is a highway that unites us. We are going to enjoy sailing and may the Circuit be a success. Next year there will be more and this one looks good."

Along with the top leaders of the clubs of Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Arrecife, Maica López, Juan Enrique Martínez and Julio Romero, respectively, were the president of the Royal Canary Islands Sailing Federation, Rafael Bonilla; the president of Calero Marinas, José Calero; the former president of the RCN La Palma, José Jaubert and Alejandro León, director of the CN de Fuerteventura.

The Canary Islands Circuit has the collaboration of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, Royal Canary Islands Sailing Federation, Spanish Association of Nautical Clubs, Canary Islands Association of Nautical Clubs and Calero Marinas.
