Unión Sur Yaiza was the fair winner of the match played this Sunday at noon against UD Lanzarote. The southerners handcuffed the rojillos on the field, having the best chances and not allowing UD Lanzarote to get dangerously close to the goal defended by Adonay. Dani was the author of the winning goal in the 14th minute of the first half, with the players trained by Carlos Ramírez having chances to achieve a wider result. UD Lanzarote was not able to shoot between the three posts during the entire match.

The match would begin with the usual balance, with most of the game taking place in the central area. A plot in which little by little Javi Pérez, Robert and Vladimir, began to impose their law and with strong pressure, not allowing UD Lanzarote to easily circulate the ball.

Unión Sur Yaiza would take the lead in the 14th minute. A cross from Javi Pérez from the wing could not be taken advantage of by Antonio Yeray, the ball was loose and from inside the area Dani shot the goalkeeper Agoney. Just two minutes later, Antonio Yeray could have increased the differences on the scoreboard, meeting the good intervention of the goalkeeper who sent the ball to a corner kick.

The UD Lanzarote goalkeeper would become the great protagonist of his team in the first half and with his interventions he prevented Yaiza from going to rest with a wider score. Antonio Yeray tried it with a shot from the front of the area, the ball was looking for the base of the post and met Agoney's hand. With the score of 0-1, the match reached halftime.

The second half continued to be dominated by Unión Sur Yaiza. Vladimir, acted as captain and was a real nightmare for his former team. In the 56th minute, a pass from Dani to Antonio Yeray could not be taken advantage of by the southern striker and his shot from the front of the area was lost over the crossbar. Just a minute later, Aridane extended a corner kick at the near post, and Ubay, free of marking in the second, failed to hit the shot.

The changes made by Adolfo Pérez in the second half did not improve the game of UD Lanzarote and Yaiza had no trouble defending the score they had in their favor. The last chance of the match occurred in the 80th minute. Kamara headed high from a new corner kick. Not even in the final push of the match, UD Lanzarote was able to get dangerously close to the rival goal. He was not able to overcome the web that Yaiza had woven in the center of the field.

With the score of 0-1, the match came to an end, with Unión Sur Yaiza adding the three points in the conejero derby of the Third Division. The victory places Unión Sur Yaiza in ninth position with 36 points, while UD Lanzarote drops to 13th place with 32 points. In the next match, Yaiza receives the visit of Villa Santa Brígida and UD Lanzarote travels to Tenerife to face UD Las Zocas.
