It has been a long season for the training categories of CB San José Obrero – Ajaches, closing the campaign with an end-of-year trip, and in which the club's children's and cadet teams have been able to continue enjoying the practice of handball. CB San José Obrero – Ajaches has played this week in a new edition of the Torrellano Cup Costa Blanca, a tournament in which the women's children's team was proclaimed champion and in which the cadet teams were runners-up.
The CB San José Obrero expedition traveled early Tuesday morning to Madrid and from there they connected with a new flight to Alicante. The group was made up of more than 40 players from the children's and cadet categories, who were accompanied by the coaches David Betancort, Nabila de Ganzo, Celia López, Sergio González and Manuel Parras.
The competition in the XXXVI Torrellano Cup Costa Blanca began on Wednesday, with matches continuing until Sunday morning, when the finals of the different categories were held. The balance of results for the CB San José Obrero – Ajaches teams has been quite positive, occupying the first positions in each of the categories in which they have participated.
The women's children's team of CB San José Obrero – Ajaches won the title of champion of the Torrellano Cup Costa Blanca. For their part, the men's and women's cadet teams reached the grand final, falling defeated in the last match of the tournament, and being runners-up in this edition. And the men's children's team finished the competition in fifth position.
The base of CB San José Obrero – Ajaches closes the 2024/2025 season in this way, with beach handball now taking center stage. The club is already preparing the organization of a new edition of the Arrecife City Beach Handball Tournament, which will take place on August 15 and 16 on El Reducto beach.
