UD Lanzarote is working intensely towards the 2025/2026 season, a campaign in which the red-and-white team will once again compete in Group XII of the Third Federation. After announcing the non-continuity of Juan Carlos Socorro at the helm of the bench, the red-and-white club has closed the one who will be its Sports Director in this new stage. Sergio Hernández, until now the first team's second coach, becomes the new Sports Director of UD Lanzarote.
He joined UD Lanzarote in the 2020/2021 season, a campaign in which he carried out “scouting” work with the first team and coordinated the club's football-11 section. The following season he joined the coaching staff of the first team, and for two seasons he was the second coach alongside Mateo García.
Last year he shared the bench with Nazareno Brindisi in the second part of the season and in the recently concluded campaign he was the second coach alongside Juan Carlos Socorro. An experience that has allowed him to know the Third Federation category perfectly, in addition to being in charge of analyzing the rivals every week.
Sergio Hernández becomes the new Sports Director of UD Lanzarote facing the 2025/2026 season, a new task that he faces with great enthusiasm and the utmost responsibility to lead the club's sports project in the new campaign in the Third Federation.
