Festive atmosphere in Yaiza during the days of this Friday and Saturday with the third edition of its Rallysprint, a test that is already consolidated in the calendar and that had the team formed by Toñín Suárez and Jorge Cedrés as winners with their Porsche 911 GT3. The fans support with their assistance the motor party in the south of Lanzarote, which had six passes between Las Breñas and Las Casitas, passing through Maciot and Femés, two on Friday night, marked by rain, and four more in the morning of this Saturday in which the sun reigned again.
The podium was completed by Oliver Rodríguez and David Rivero and Alfredo Guerra and Lara Curbelo.
After the completion of the test, competitors, family and friends moved to the Plaza del Carmen in Playa Blanca, where the awards ceremony was held, presided over by the Councilor for Sports of Yaiza, Ángel Lago, the president of CD Evesport, José Víctor Rodríguez, and the president of the Las Palmas Automobile Federation, Miguel Ángel Domínguez.
The applause and cheers followed with the ascent to the podium of the winners in the different categories, but the emotion took over the square with the memory that the City Council of Yaiza wanted to have on that special day with Ambrosio Betancort, a great motor fan who recently passed away, giving his son Alejandro and his daughter-in-law Fabiola Acosta a detail and a bouquet of flowers, in addition to the great ovation that the entire public gave him. A great fan also of the Canarian fight, as recalled by the head of Sports of Yaiza, Ángel Lago, of whom
he highlighted "his contribution to sports on the island".
