The First Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas has sentenced Ricardo Fernández, known as "the gravedigger of Tinajo", this Wednesday in Arrecife for drug trafficking in the municipal cemetery and dog pound and in his own home in the town.

The defense and the Public Prosecutor's Office have reached an agreement by which the accused will go from serving eight years in prison to four years in prison and a fine of 30,542.38 euros.

Since December 2023, the accused has been selling and distributing marijuana and cocaine from his home in Tinajo and from the aforementioned facilities already mentioned. The convicted man has a canceled criminal record for robbery, theft, forgery and receiving stolen goods.

Ricardo Fernández used his position as a city council worker to allegedly supply the drug to "an indiscriminate plurality of people in exchange for money".
